The Komatsu PC400-8R is a heavy-duty 40-ton class crawler hydraulic excavator engineered for demanding mining, quarrying, large-scale earthmoving, and heavy construction projects. Powered by a Komatsu SAA6D125E-5 turbocharged, air-to-air aftercooled diesel engine, it delivers 257 kW (345 hp) net power at 1,900 rpm, meeting EPA Tier 2 / EU Stage 2 emissions standards. Operating weight ranges 41,740–42,590 kg, with bucket capacity from 1.30–2.80 m³ and strong digging force for heavy-duty tasks.
