The Komatsu PC220-8MO is equipped with the SAA6D107E-1 turbocharged diesel engine developed by Komatsu itself, with a rated power of 123kW. It complies with the EPA Tier 3 emission standards, featuring powerful output and excellent fuel economy. Through system optimization, the overall fuel consumption has been reduced by approximately 10% compared to the previous model. The engine's fuel and intake systems adopt dust-proof and anti-fouling designs, extending the maintenance cycle.
It uses a variable plunger pump hydraulic system, with the main pump having a maximum flow rate of 439L/min. Combined with a 172kN bucket for digging hard soil or medium-hard rocks, it can quickly complete excavation operations in hard soil or medium-hard rock. The maximum digging depth is 6920mm, and the maximum digging radius is 10180mm, meeting the requirements for deep foundation pits and large-scale operations.
The front and rear frames have undergone finite element optimization, and the key structural components have passed 200,000 fatigue tests, suitable for heavy-load conditions. The hydraulic pipelines adopt a double-sealing design to reduce leakage risks; the KOMTRAX system of Conchash monitors the equipment status in real time, providing early warnings of faults and reducing the probability of downtime.
The high-rigidity roll-over protection cab (ROPS/FOPS) is equipped with suspended seats, air conditioning, and noise reduction technology, with the operating environment noise being lower than 75 decibels. The large TFT liquid crystal monitor integrates equipment parameters, maintenance reminders, and other functions, combined with the pilot control handle, achieving precise control and reducing operator fatigue.
Maintenance points are centrally arranged, with engine oil filters, fuel pre-filters, etc., being replaceable quickly; the track plates adopt a modular design, with the replacement time of a single piece shortened by 30%. Standardized automatic lubrication systems are provided to reduce the workload of manual maintenance.
It is suitable for foundation excavation, basement digging, backfilling operations, etc., with a 1.03-1.45m³ bucket capacity that can flexibly match the demand for soil volume. In urban infrastructure, its compact body (total length 9.885m) is suitable for operations in narrow spaces.
Mining and quarrying
Although not a professional mining model, by selecting heavy buckets and reinforced chassis, it can undertake tasks such as stripping and loading in small-scale mines. Its 172kN digging force can handle medium-hard rocks, but in hard rock conditions, it is recommended to be paired with crushers and other attachments.
Road and municipal engineering
